Marie Deaudelin, MA holds a Bachelor’s degree in Drama Education (2010), and a Master’s degree in Dramatherapy from Concordia University in Montreal (2018). For more than 10 years, Marie Deaudelin has been involved in arts intervention with children, adolescents and adults. She has worked in many organizations such as AVATAQ (Inuit of Nunavik), Center Gabrielle-Roy and CJE Center-Nord (return to school support for youth) Vers l’Équilibre (adults and mental Health), Auberge Transition (support for abused women) and AQPAMM (mental health caregivers). She has taught drama at the elementary level to specialized classes (autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairment and newcomers). As an actress and author, Marie co-directs L’Espace Potentiel, a social and therapeutic theater organization. With the artistic team of this organisation, Marie has, among other things, directed two plays; Burnout, a show about burnout in education, and Au-delà des marées, a creative process in collaboration with the Société Québécoise de la Schizophrénie. In 2019, Marie is coordinating and intervening for Art et Contes of the Parc-Extension Youth Organization, a specialized arts therapy prevention program for immigrant children and their families. To promote non-verbal and verbal expression, Marie Deaudelin uses metaphor, the principles of play therapy, various drama-therapy techniques, and the creativity of individuals and groups. She is an Allied Professional member with the the Association des Arts Thérapeutes du Québec (AATQ) www.aatq.org.
