    LORAINE ALVARADO
Clinical Coordinator, Drama Therapist and Dance/Movement Therapist in training (she/her)

Loraine holds a Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy, specifically in Drama Therapy, from Concordia University (2022). She offers her services at the Centre as a Clinical Coordinator, Drama Therapist and Dance/Movement Therapist in training. Loraine uses a humanistic
approach with body awareness, narrative exploration and play as interventions. She values creative power, self-awareness and development, and the co-creation of a safe therapeutic space and connection, both in group and individual services. Loraine has had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients in community settings: She has accompanied families, as well as adults
with special needs or who are experiencing mental health challenges. She has also facilitated creative expression groups in schools. It is with great enthusiasm that Loraine adds to her skill set dance and movement therapy training, which combines her passion for dance and psychology. Loraine is an affiliate member of the Association des art-thérapeutes du Québec, as well as a member of the Dance and Movement Therapy Association of Canada.
