Fiona Smith, M.A., ATPQ, A.T.R., completed a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Arts (2002) and a Master’s degree in Art Therapy (2008) at Concordia University in Montreal. Aside from the groups that she leads at Expression LaSalle, she works as an art therapist in an early intervention center for children with special needs and in a day program for adults with developmental disabilities and physical handicaps. She has also accepted art therapy contracts in the areas of addictions and of suicide awareness. Ms. Smith is a professional member of the l’Association des art-thérapeutes du Québec (ATPQ). She holds the title of Registered Art Therapist (A.T.R.) with the American Art Therapy Credentials Board, Inc., and a psychotherapy permit issued by the Ordre des psychologues du Québec.
